Propellerheads Rebirth! On the iPad! Finally!

Propellerheads is on a roll. They recently released Reason 5 and Record 1.5 - both amazing updates to already robust and yummy music-making magnificence.  Now, the legendary ReBirth on the iPad - this is the future and the reason I will have to get my hands on the iPad again (next gen, of course - I'm patient...)

I feel like a teen (OMG).  Take a look at the (yet another great) video from the Propellerheads team and jones like me.  Please enjoy!

Lexicon's I·ONIX U42S Comes to the Rescue

I'd been using my Rane TTM-57 as my sound card. It was at the center of they system, which was set up primarily as a Turntablist workstation. Due to space constraints, the DAW side of the studio was secondary. Don't get me wrong, it was functional but it wasn't extremely comfy. Now that I actually have some space to stretch out, I got myself a 24" iMac and the set-up evolved. I needed a new hub for my workstation. Enter Lexicon's I·ONIX U42S.

 Lexicon I-ONIX U42S

"The I·ONIX U42S contains all the necessary tools to transform your computer into a professional 24-bit/96kHz digital recording studio."  What makes this unique, outside of Lexicon's legendary sound quality, is the design. It's designed to fit right under your display. It puts the controls right where you need them - at your fingertips.

It's build-quality is amazing and the knob-feel is what you'd expect from Lexicon - top notch! I've just gotten started with it, so I'll update y'all as soon as I put some stuff down.  More to come.

Check out Lexicon's product page for the nitty gritty.
