Propellerheads is on a roll. They recently released Reason 5 and Record 1.5 - both amazing updates to already robust and yummy music-making magnificence. Now, the legendary ReBirth on the iPad - this is the future and the reason I will have to get my hands on the iPad again (next gen, of course - I'm patient...)
I feel like a teen (OMG). Take a look at the (yet another great) video from the Propellerheads team and jones like me. Please enjoy!
I love getting turned on to/by new music, especially when it's original, intelligent and impactful. Bodycode did that for me. So, thanks to Bodycode and to one of my favorite labels, Ghostly International.
Moby, we've missed you. It's been a long while since you rocked the house at NASA (at the original Shelter). Shortly after a Voodoo Child, with "Honest Love," showed me the End of Everything (1997). Fast forward, I hit "Play" (you couldn't escape that album) and you slipped away. "Wait for Me" you say? Of course we would. Available June 30th, "Wait for Me" is completely worth the wait. The simple beauty of (what I deem to be) introspectiveness oozes from the speakers.
Wait for Me - Album ArtRecorded 100% in his home studio, Moby says the album was inspired by a David Lynch speech at a British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) speech, in the uk. "David was talking about creativity, and to paraphrase, about how creativity in and of itself, and without market pressures, is fine and good," his journal notes. That's inspiring, being an aspiring electronic musician myself.
"Shot in the Back of the Head" is the first single ("if you can call an instrumental with no vocals that we're giving away for free a 'single' - Moby). It's simply beautiful, as you'll experience in this video created by David Lynch himself:
Be sure to check out, in his own words, how it all came about. Here's the tracklisting:
