Plant Music, NYC
The notorious Plant Music was founded by Dominique and Marcus Lambkin in the 90s as a 12" label (DJ Wool released the first 12" on Plant) but quickly became a party promotions company which then segued into Plant Bar. When Marcus moved to Germany Plant released the infamous 'Sound of Young New York Compilations' and soon after Dom was joined at the helm by Stretch Armstrong.
They soon developed a stable of artists including Tittsworth, The Glass, Kap10Kurt, DJ Wool, Eli Escobar, Kasper Bjorke, Loose Shus and many more.. Plant has focused on mostly 12" and digital releases but stepped up operations to release Tittsworth's 'Twelve Steps' album featuring early appearances from Kid Sister, Pase Rock, Nina Sky, Pitbull, The Federation and many more.
Moving into this new decade Plant is proud to announce a compilation of exclusive tracks from the label's pool of talent with Dance Music patrons Scion that will be released in March. Scion will produce over 50,000 CDs of this compilation to be distributed for free all over the globe and will also help fund promotion for this wonderful album. With this in mind the label decided to put a tour together with some of it's favorite artists including The Glass, DJ Wool, Stretch Armstrong, Dominique and on selected dates Ei Escobar. The tour will bring a rush of fresh dance music fever to clubs all over North America and Europe with their beat heavy party vibe including a live club set by The Glass and the unique skills of their DJ roster.
